About the author : Dr. Bishnu Choudhury is a distinguished Ayurvedic scholar and clinician, born in Dhubri district of Assam in 1980. He completed his BAMS (2004), M.D. in Kayachikitsa (2009), and Ph.D. (2015) from Gauhati University, Guwahati. Specializing in Kayachikitsa (General Medicine), he has over two decades of academic, clinical, and research experience. He has served as House Physician at Govt. Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Medical Officer under NRHM Assam, Senior Research Fellow at the CCRAS Guwahati Unit, and Medical Officer (Ay) at NEIAH, Shillong. He is currently the Principal (i/c) of the College of Ayurveda and HOD (i/c), Department of Kayachikitsa, NEIAH. He also contributes to institutional development as Chairman of the Institutional Scientific & Research Committee and as a member of various academic and ethical boards, including NEHU’s Board of Studies. He is an NCISM-nominated Inspector for Ayurvedic colleges. Dr. Choudhury has authored four books, published numerous research papers, undertaken research projects, and delivered lectures in national and international academic forums. He is also the Editor of “AYUHOM”, a peer-reviewed research journal, and is actively associated with several professional bodies in Ayurveda.
