11-10-2025It was incredibly relieving to have finally found a truly complete translation of all 108 Upanishads. Especially since many such attempts that I've seen elsewhere typically tend to be more a loose summary rather than a true effort at translation. This is perhaps why many other searches for "108 Upanishads" turn up a single book or very small set. The resulting english is perhaps the most approachable form that I've had the pleasure of reading yet. Not only this, but I was glad to discover this collection retains the sanskrit version along side each portion of text. The physical quality of the books and their binding is notably high. If I am to mention any minor issue it is that of the occasional english misspelling, of which there are only a handful (easily within reason). Overall, it's clear from the onset that this was a grand work of love and devotion by Ajai Chhawchharia. In each book's preface the translator's refreshing sincerity and humility are wonderfully evident. It is truly a gift to the English speaking world, which he's offered. This collection is well worth what I paid for it and I am very honored to have it in my home.
